International Arbiter Title to Biswajit Bharadwaj by World Chess Federation(FIDE)

Biswajit Bharadwaj(picture above), Co Founder of Assam Chess Club has been conferred the title of "International Arbiter" by the World Chess Federation (FIDE) during their Presidential Board Meeting held at Baku, Azerbaijan during 27th to 30th June 2019. Biswajit had earlier completed all the norms required for the title in February 2019.

Biswajit Bharadwaj has thus become the first and only "International Arbiter" of Assam till date. 

Biswajit Bharadwaj was first conferred the Title of Senior National Arbiter by All India Chess Federation in the year 2007 and later the Title of FIDE Arbiter by the World Chess Federation(FIDE) in the year 2017.

Mr Bharadwaj is also an licensed FIDE Instructor (Coach) which was conferrd to him in the year 2017.

Mr Bharadwaj is also the founder Director of Gauhati Town Club Chess Foundation and Founder Secretary cum Executive Director of Akshayam, a sports promoting NGO.

He Also works as a Coach of Royal Global School Guwahati. He had previously coached the Tezpur Central University team for the All India Inter University Chess Championship.

Another Arbiter from Assam, Mrs Salina Masum (picture above) has also been conferred the title of FIDE Arbiter in the same meeting.Mrs Masum has hence become the first and only FIDE Arbiter from Assam.
